Who can offer Commitment Plus revision cover?

Only a member surgeon of the BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) may offer a patient Commitment Plus.

 

Who pays the Commitment Plus premiums?

The cost of revision insurance is included in the surgeon's fee.

 

Who is the insured?

The surgeon is the insured person and only they can make a claim under the policy.

 

How long after my operation does Commitment Plus cover me for problems identified?

In the first 48 hours, or until discharged (which ever is the latest) you would usually be covered the hospital/clinic patient aftercare programme. From then up until 24 months from date of procedure you will be covered by Commitment Plus. 

 

What if I think I have a complication?

If you think you have a complication then you must return to your surgeon for a consultation. 

 

If I need revision treatment then what happens?

Any revision treatment will be arranged by your surgeon. 

 

What if I am not happy with my surgeon?

If you feel that you are unable to return to your surgeon due to a breakdown in confidence you can email team@commitmentplus.org.uk and an advisor will call you to discuss your situation. 

 

How do i know if my procedure is covered by Commitment Plus?

There is a list of covered procedures here. If you think your procedure is not listed, you may ask your surgeon to contact us in an attempt to arrange cover. 

 

If Commitment Plus does not cover the full amount of the revision treatment who pays the difference?

If in the rare instancethat the full cost of the revision procedure is not covered, you as the patient may be liable for the additional cost. We would suggest that you speak with your surgeon to clarify this.  

 

What if I am having multiple procedures?

The Commitment Plus will be provided to you for your multiple procedures. This is capped at 5 procedures per theatre visit.
